Brussels Review

Brussels Review:

Brussels, the capital city of EU and Belgium is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited. I always thought why this city was given the status of being the capital of EU. The mind goggling beauty of this city is a treat to watch.

Places to look:

Grand Place/Grote Markt, Mini-Europe park and much more…….as I felt it is just waste to think about what to visit, the complete city looks like a Royal castle, and every corner should be a treat to watch.

Residence facilities and food:

Youth hostels, as usual are available and one can easily reserve the accommodation in internet. Very well maintained and are near to railway stations and public transport bus stops.

We felt a bit of difficulty in finding food for us, roamed like anything just to find any Indian or Chinese or Italian restaurants. I don’t know whether we searched in wrong areas or the city itself doesn’t have them. But as we enquired, there were very very few and nobody knew where they were located. Had to finish off with Turkish food.

Public transport:

The whole city had good underground network and the city is pretty tourist friendly and cheap for travelling too. The underground trains are pretty frequent although trams are not so frequent. But the city is very difficult to have such facilities. You can feel it.

My impression:

Mini Europe Park is excellent. The big constructions of Europe are replicated here in mini structures and with almost all fine details.

Though it is very difficult even to find people with a little bit of English knowledge (really worst guys, they can’t even understand a single word of English, what strange to find is even though Belgium is divided into three communities, the Dutch speaking, the French speaking and the German speaking the people whom I met weren’t even able to understand German) including the people in ticket counters, servers in restaurants, the positive features of this city has dominated my mind to write off the negative points.

Until now, my favourite place for visiting was Vienna, (outside Germany) but now it has shifted to Brussels. Guys, if you are missing this city when you are visiting Europe, it is the worst thing to happen. I don’t have any more words to describe this city……..Just visit and enjoy!!!
